Description
A pluck card is the raise-your-hand bidding paddle used at player auctions, team auctions and fundraisers. Each pluck card is printed on 5mm foamboard, measures 12 x 6 inches including the grip, and carries your team crest, logo, number or name on one side – light enough to hold up through a long auction, stiff enough to stay flat all day.
Where a pluck card is used
Cricket and football player auctions, corporate bidding rounds, charity auctions, college fests and quiz or game shows – anywhere every table needs its own clearly marked paddle. An auctioneer can read a raised pluck card from across the hall, so bids are picked up quickly and there is no confusion over which team has bid. Most teams keep the card afterwards as a souvenir of the day.
Material and size
Each card is printed single side on 5mm foamboard and cut to 12 inches high by 6 inches wide, with the grip forming part of the card, so no separate handle or stick is needed. Foamboard suits this job well – it is rigid like a board but a fraction of the weight of acrylic or MDF, so it stays comfortable in the hand through a long session. The minimum order is 12 pluck cards, which suits a typical auction floor of one paddle per team. Upload your print-ready artwork as a PDF while placing the order.
